Sodium Fluoborate is an inorganic compound which finds application in preparation of various types of salts inorganic chemistry. It has chemical formula NaBF4 with molar mass 109.794 g/mol and density 2.47 g/cm3. This compound can be prepared by neutralization of tetrafluoroboric acid with sodium carbonate. It soluble in water and is also used in brazing fluxes and for boron trifluoride production. With melting point of 384 degrees Celsius, it can be utilized for ionic liquid synthesis. Sodium Fluoborate appears as white colored or colorless crystalline solid which shows minimal solubility in organic solvents.
